Hi, I’m Diane Counts and I volunteer for Brigid Shea’s campaign for Travis County Commissioner, Precinct 2.
All I have to say is WOW! What an incredible woman and what an incredible experience. This is the first time I’ve volunteered for a public servant. I never realized what it takes to run a campaign. Usually, I research each candidate on the web, read the newspaper or watch a debate on television, and then I vote. Not anymore. Volunteers are paramount to a campaign so I urge all you civic-minded citizens to visit Brigid’s campaign headquarters to meet her and the staff and give an hour or more of your time, pick up a yard sign or make a donation. You won’t be disappointed.
I was a rookie and I guess I still am, but I have a much better understanding of the political process. I have learned so much from Brigid and her staff. Brigid is one of the most passionate public servants I have met to date. If you have a question, she has the answer. If you want to share your opinion, she listens. You may agree, or agree to disagree, but you will leave knowing the answer to your question. Brigid speaks out for what she believes in.
Brigids 25 years of experience is what Travis County needs. Her passion, tenacity and commitment are genuine. She has the same concerns as many other residents of Travis County and Precinct 2. I believe she will fight to reform property tax appraisals, protect women’s reproductive rights and protect our environment. Her progressive approach will lead the way to improved ethics reform and transparency.
Brigid has the knowledge, skills and ability to represent all the residents of Travis County because she cares.
Don’t forget to vote in the Primary March 4!
Thank you for reading, and come join the Brigid Brigade!
